Several wells in Lozova village, Straseni district have been rehabilitated

The inhabitants of Lozova village everywhere develop the locality. Even though the vast majority are supplied with drinking water at the tap, the inhabitants of Lozova village have not left the wells in ruins. Together with the local public authorities, they set to work and brought back to life several wells in the locality. The project was funded by the Local Action Group „Plaiul Codrilor”, the European Union and the Government of Poland. The total cost of the works is about 80 thousand lei, informs Messager, a news bulletin from the Public Television of the Republic of Moldova.

„Why are you drinking water?” - Drink, tea, food? - Is the water in the wells good? - Hi!”; "Even if we have comforts at home, we still go to the fountain anyway, we have to take care of her every time. Water, we all saw how expensive it was last summer. A very good thing has been done that the water is neat. A stranger comes, he doesn't know, but if she is taken care of, anyone will drink”, consider the locals.

According to local public authorities, the wells are covered so that dust and other impurities do not enter the water consumed by the population, which was missing until rehabilitation.

„Many of them have had jugs. Some of them were renovated in another form, because a few fountains with sieve were renovated and we wanted to keep the sieve and the old look. I chose the color that is specific to the village, the color green, like the woods. If you noticed, on them are drawn, especially to order, the leaf or lotion of vines with grapes, which is related to the name of the locality ", mentions Valentina Lozovanu, deputy mayor of Lozova commune.

At the same time, some wells were equipped with a hydrant extinguishing system.

„So, this was also the purpose, to renovate and offer a possibility to supply water to the fire truck, which again serves about four surrounding villages. In Straseni district, it is the only fire center in the village ", says Valentina Lozovanu.

There are about 200 public wells in the village of Lozova.
